On a sunny winter morning, we decided to have breakfast at one of the most recommended places in Prince George. I don’t know if it was a good decision to go outside on a day when the weather was quite cold despite the sun, but it would be good to get out and change our atmosphere a little.
The restaurant we chose for breakfast was D’Lanos Family Restaurant. As soon as we stepped inside, we were welcomed by a display case full of pastries, with an employee behind it greeting us warmly.
The restaurant was laid out in an L shape, and we noticed that almost all the tables were occupied. Despite the crowded atmosphere, the waiter who guided us led us to a table near the entrance. Once we settled into the comfortable chairs, another waiter promptly arrived, greeting us with a cheerful ‘Good morning’ and leaving the menus on the table. The waitstaff were all smiling, friendly, and very hospitable. I’m not sure if it was just a coincidence, but every waiter who served us was a woman.

While we were browsing through the menus, trying to decide what to order, a waiter arrived with a coffee thermos in hand and filled our cups. I later learned that after paying for your coffee ($3), you can refill your cup up to three times. The menu offered many tempting options. We settled on the ‘Classic Benedict,’ an ‘Omelet,’ and the ‘Healthy Touch’ fruit plate. After a short wait, our breakfasts arrived. Each dish was not only filling but also incredibly delicious. The colorful plates were a feast for both our eyes and our stomachs. We savored every bite as we enjoyed our meal.

Once we finished, we took a final sip of our coffees and asked for the bill. The total came to about $50 Canadian, including the tip, for everything we ordered. After paying and thanking the waiter, we left D’Lanos Family Restaurant and stepped out into the freezing cold air.
